Aero engine gets a soft landing
The coating of components to resolve problems or improve their performance is a regular occurrence at Impreglon. What happens less often is that we receive a jig or frame that is used to hold a component while it is machined or assembled. Such was the case recently when an aero engine manufacturer identified a problem with a sub-assembly. The sub-assembly needed to be securely held in place while a component was fitted to it. Because of the sensitive nature of the sub-assembly, it was not possible to hard clamp it into place without first protecting its underside.
Rubber covering option
Impreglon UK can apply a PTFE coating onto rubber but we don’t apply the rubber itself, although from time to time we’re asked if we can.
