Sectors Printing
High speed printing requires high performance coating solutions.
There are two main areas where Impreglon UK can improve the performance of printing equipment - ink non-stick and adhesive non-stick. Ink non-stick coatings are a great time and money saver. By using Impreglon UK coatings on ink trays, ink pans, return trays and drip trays, the printing industry can ensure that when the time comes to clean the tray or pan down, the cleaning time is significantly reduced compared with uncoated equipment. Couple that with being able to eliminate quality issues arising out of cross colour contamination and the reason for the success of this range of coatings becomes apparent.
Impreglon UK coatings can also be found on the guide rolls or path rolls that take the printed web from one colour station to the next. If the ink is still wet when the open side of the web runs across the guide roll, the ink will off set back onto the web. Impreglon UK coatings can prevent such off set. We even have low temperature coating systems that can be used on sensitive grades of Aluminium.
For those printing self adhesive labels, there is a coating that can be used to prevent the adhesive on the label from sticking where it's not wanted. This coating is found on rotary die cutters, waste matrix take off rolls and waste removal ducting. For the waste matrix take off rolls, the coating's inbuilt traction properties are a distinct advantage. Within the book binding industry, coatings for glue non-stick or easy clean can be found on equipment such as glue tanks, glue applicator wheels and associated scrappers. Impreglon UK coatings can also be found at date code printing stations where the objective is to prevent ink build up on dead plates.
