Two new acquisitions
Two new acquisitions increase the
Impreglon Group capabilities
September 2009 has seen the purchase of two companies, a coating plant in the USA and a fabrication plant in Poland. These two new plants will increase the Group's capabilities and will raise it's profile still further.
On September 1st, a PVD thin film coating plant on Rhode Island, northeast USA, was purchased. The geographic location is important as it will allow Impreglon to increase it's customer base in the region. There already is a plant in the USA of course, in Atlanta, Georgia, but Woonsocket, Rhode Island, is 1,000 miles away. With both American plants offering different coating technologies, this acquisition brings the Group closer to it's strategic one stop shop goal.
On September 25th, a metalworking fabrication shop in Walcz, Poland, became the second fabrication plant in Europe. Operated by Impreglon Hungary, the Walcz plant not only offers competitive manufacturing for Eastern Europe, but also for equipment and machine builders in western Europe. The benefit to western European customers is that after Impreglon fabricates the components in Walcz, the components can be coated (and assembled if need be) by our coating plants in Germany and Netherlands for example.
The Impreglon Group now has 16 coating plants, two fabrication plants and a sales office in Europe, North America and Asia and employs approximately 425 people.
